On June 19, 2025, Amrita Hospital Kalpetta conducted a medical camp at Vellaram Kunnu Colony, Wayanad, located 18 kilometers from the hospital. This initiative primarily serves children and women from the local tribal community.

For the past five years, Amrita Hospital Kalpetta has been organizing regular medical camps in this region, providing free medical consultations and medications. Patients requiring advanced care are referred to Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi. The camps also offer free advanced laboratory tests and X-rays.

Each weekly camp benefits between 50 and 70 patients, supporting the community’s ongoing healthcare needs and ensuring access to essential diagnostic and treatment services. This sustained effort underscores the hospital’s commitment to improving health outcomes in underserved areas.
