Honoring the Unsung Heroes: Mata Amritanandamayi Math Announces Fortnight of Events for Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas 2026
The Mata Amritanandamayi Math (Amritapuri, Kollam) and Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital (Kalpetta, Wayanad) have unveiled a comprehensive schedule of events to commemorate Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas (JJGD) 2026.
Nationwide celebrations spearheaded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi run annually from November 1 to November 15. First established in 2021, JJGD honors tribal freedom fighters, acknowledges their pivotal contributions to India’s freedom struggle and cultural heritage, and re-energizes efforts toward the socio-economic development of tribal regions.
Aligning with the national mission to promote tribal art, culture, and history while inspiring younger generations to safeguard national pride, the Kerala-based institutions have organized grassroots health camps, educational sessions, community award ceremonies, and creative tributes throughout the first fortnight of November.
