WHO WE ARE
Amrita De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center or Amrita Tribal Center as it is popularly known, is a project managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The Math is a registered Charitable Trust (No:IV-9/1988/KL/KPY) under the Indian Trust Act 1982.
Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, fondly known as Amma, is a visionary humanitarian and spiritual leader who has personally embraced more than 35 million people across six continents. Through her inspiring life of love, inner strength and self-sacrifice, Amma has inspired people all over the planet to strive to make more and more space in the hearts for others and to dedicate free time to social service.

Every Week From Monday to Saturday Medical camps / Colony & Patients Visits lead by Dr Keerthana MBBS and BPA (Bachelor of Physician Associate) from Amrita Institute of Medical Science Kochi Keralam. They distribute medicine and do nursing care to the aged, new born, pregnant women and physically handicapped patients. BPA Internees take awareness classes to Patients and bystanders and support Physician.
MSc Nutrition Interns from Amrita Institute of Medical Science Kochi Keralam conduct surveys of the Tribal Food practices & guide them to have domestic natural food items, fruits, nuts, leaves etc.
All Saturdays Specialist camp of General Physician from 2-5 Pm Dr Krishnadas MD or one MD Doctor from Amrita Institute of Medical science (medical college Hospital) Kochi attend patients
All Friday evening psychiatric clinicians and counsellors from MHAAT Kozhikode
Visit patients and family members in the field. They collect the periodic changes in the patients and their living standards. Medicines were directly given to the residence of the patients, through the Health workers, Social workers and Mental Health Workers.
