Tribal Colony – Medical Outreach Initiative

A dedicated medical outreach team from Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, Kinatty, Kalpetta visited the tribal villages of Nedungode Kuruchyar Colony and Pinangode Paniya Colony as part of the hospital’s ongoing community health initiatives.

On 19th October 2025, Dr. Ageesh MD, from Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, led the team, accompanied by Ms. Sudha (MLT, Tribal Health Worker)Mrs. Sobha (Social Worker), and Mr. Pramod, assessed and supported patients. The visit focused on ensuring accessible healthcare for tribal populations and addressing both physical and mental health concerns.

During the outreach, Ms Janu, a psychiatry patient from Pinangode Paniya Colony, was evaluated through home-based follow-up care. She continues to receive regular psychological support every Friday through visits by Clinical Psychologists from the hospital. Additionally, another tribal woman from Pinangode Kuruchyar Colony was examined by Dr. Ageesh and referred to the Medical College Hospital for further diagnostic tests and advanced treatment.

These efforts reflect Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital’s commitment to extending compassionate, continuous, and integrated healthcare to tribal communities in Wayanad district.
