PG Medical Interns from AIMS Kochi Serve at Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, Kalpetta
Kochi, October 26, 2025 — Three Postgraduate interns in Community Medicine from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center (AIMS), Edappally, Kochi—Dr. Adhil, Dr. Manjusha, and Dr. Devi—completed their community health service program at Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, Kalpetta, Wayanad, from October 10 to October 25, 2025.
During their service tenure, the doctors actively took part in outpatient care at the hospital and extended their services to Modakkara and Edaguni tribal colonies in and around Wayanad. As part of their outreach, they conducted specialized medical camps every Wednesday and Thursday, focusing on preventive, promotive, and curative health care for underserved tribal communities.
Their work emphasized Amrita Institute’s ongoing commitment to community-centered health care and holistic medical education. The program provided invaluable field experience for the postgraduate doctors and significantly benefited the rural and tribal populations of the region.
The Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital continues to serve as a vital link between the institution’s academic community and society, ensuring that equitable health services reach even the most remote areas of Kerala.
