Healthcare Empowerment Initiative: Tribal Health Worker Receives Essential Medical Equipment in Kalpetta
In a meaningful step toward strengthening rural healthcare delivery, Ms. Sudha, a Tribal Health Worker and Trainee Lab Technician associated with Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, Kalpetta, Wayanad District has been provided with vital medical equipment at her residence in Nedungode Kurichyar Tribal Colony. The equipment includes a Digital Thermometer, Glucometer, and Steamer, among other primary tools essential for community healthcare work.
Ms. Sudha, who hails from an agricultural family sustaining their livelihood through cattle farming, successfully completed her Medical Laboratory Technology (M.L.T.) course and has since been actively contributing to improving healthcare access in her community. Her dedication exemplifies the impact of empowering tribal youth through education and skill-based training.
The equipment was formally handed over by Dr. Ageesh, M.D., from Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, in the presence of Social Worker Mrs. Sobha, Mr. Balakrishnan, and Mr. Pramod. The support aims to enhance Ms. Sudha’s capacity to offer essential health services and early diagnostics to families in the remote Kurichyar Colony, thereby promoting preventive care and health awareness.
This initiative reflects Mata Amritanandamayi Math’s ongoing commitment to the holistic upliftment of tribal communities through healthcare, education, and sustainable livelihood programs implemented via Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospitals across Kerala.
