Health awareness classes were conducted on January 5, 12 & 19th in 3 schools by Health Inspector Sasangan PHC Pudupariyaram under Palakkad District Medical Officer. Aiming to raise the awareness of younger generation on ways to develop sound health & hygiene, it covered physical and mental fallout of substance abuse and legal problems from the use of liquor, smoking and narcotic substances. He explained the contribution of students in moulding a healthy community from themselves, their family and their village. The sessions were not only educational but entertaining too. It included question & answers sessions, humour, song sessions (naadan pattu) and story telling.
