WHO WE ARE

Amrita De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center or Amrita Tribal Center as it is popularly known, is a project managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The Math is a registered Charitable Trust (No:IV-9/1988/KL/KPY) under the Indian Trust Act 1982.


Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, fondly known as Amma, is a visionary humanitarian and spiritual leader who has personally embraced more than 35 million people across six continents. Through her inspiring life of love, inner strength and self-sacrifice, Amma has inspired people all over the planet to strive to make more and more space in the hearts for others and to dedicate free time to social service.

The Center has been close to Amma’s heart. Efforts to develop self supporting tribal hamlets with sound health care, quality education and livelihood of different tribal clans continues to make great strides in bringing a positive change to their lives.
