Flood Relief In Tribal Areas of Wayanad
On 13th August 2018, a medical team consisting of specialists and general physicians of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi and Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital, Kalpetta provided their services at flood ravaged area of Edaguni, Wayanad.
Food, groceries, new clothes, blankets & bedsheets were distributed at the medical camp to the affected people.
Amma has instructed the AIMS medical team and an ambulance to be stationed at the shelter to offer round-the-clock services until the flood has abated.

The one thing not mentioned here, is that this is the only shelter in the state of Kerala that has provided specialist doctors and an ambulance fulltime for the public affected by the flood. None of 100s of shelters run by the government & NGOs have that. Proof that nobody offers service better than Amma. Gratitude!

Well something else not mentioned is that, nobody bothers to look at the concerns of tribal population. Given how remote these locations are, none of the government departments or media come all the way to help these people.

Whenever a crisis there…..here the helping hand is of Amritandamayi…We are proud of it…
