Tribal girls trained as Community Healthcare Workers

Tribal girls selected from the remote Hamlets of Attappady (Palakkad District) were sent to Swami Vivekananda Hospital- Agali as Healthcare Worker trainees. They are being trained to take care aged people, new born children, carrying women. They have trained in first aid also. During the six months period, they are given stipend also. The fourth batch includes 13 tribal girls. The third batch who completed the training course is being trained in Ayurvedic treatments in Amrita Ayurveda medical college, Vallikavu. Trained tribal girls are entrusted in the project activities in the Tribal areas with an honorarium.
